Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World

No real value.  It might entertain some small children.  It almost put me to sleep.  I shoved it to the left side of my screen and read the news, to stay awake.

Kids deserve better than this.  They deserve a good plot, good characters, and actual fun.

This is four TV episodes, not a single movie.  The animation is cheap, the music is annoying, and both Beast and Cogsworth are so much meaner than they were in the 1991 movie.  The characters make no sense.  Character logic is broken.  Beast is downright bipolar, unhinged, and stupid, and it’s not how his character is meant to be written.  Belle is too beautiful for THIS!

No one enjoys filthy cash-grabs.

A good storyteller would have written stories set AFTER the film, involving the cured prince, not crammed into a vague timeline between Belle’s captivity and The Romantic Ballroom Dance.  Belle’s father was desperately trying to get her out of the Beast’s castle the entire time, and yet here we are supposed to believe Belle would have had time to plan a party for Mrs Potts?  Pure insanity.

Some of us feel like Disney films end too soon because we don’t get to see the romance after.  Where’s the “happily ever after”?  If we’ve got forever, then we’ve got time to write a good movie.  Here is our chance to see more!  But instead of seeing more, we see less.  If only we could go back in time and stop this sub-par VHS tape from happening.  I feel sorry for the actors, animators, and the kids who watched.  Imagine trapping all those talented actors inside bodies of candlesticks and clocks, for much longer than is necessary!

Can’t improve this.  Throw it all away and start fresh.  Imagine if this was a story about handsome-prince and Belle going to another land and helping children or something.  Smarmy-sounding, I know, but better than this!

Hey, at least this is (slightly) better than the Christmas special!
